Coronation Service

On Sunday of the weekend of the King’s coronation, a special afternoon Coronation service was held at Thorrington. It was a lovely sunny afternoon with the church highly decorated with crowns, a mini King and Queen, flag, bunting etc.

A knitted full size crown and cushion were made and placed on the font for all to see.

A special order of service was put together with prayers, hymns and music to mark the special weekend. After the service a light afternoon tea and cake was served, with all receiving a Coronation badge.    

Great thanks goes to Kay Sadler, Ruth Clarke, Sarah Clarke and Pat Willis for all their hard work in making the church look amazing for the weekend, also for everyone that helped knit crowns etc and all that helped with refreshments.
